If you have just moved into a new home, or you are looking at how to revamp an existing room, the best way to claim the space and give it a personal touch is with painting and decorating. When it comes to decorating a room, the first step is to decide on a theme. Do you have a particular style in mind? Do you love antiques and want to bring a few antique items into the room for decor? When painting a child’s room, care should be taken to choose paint which is non-toxic and pastel colours are a perfect colour combination for walls. With painting and decorating a room being an expression of one’s personal interests or one’s personality – all decor and decorative items must be personally selected by the homeowner, like photographs, arts, furniture, etc. Wall or paint colours should be chosen on how the colour can enhance the decorator’s personal decorating sense.
